"She inspires others and has an awareness of inclusivity and cooperation."

Lee Lappin, Creative Director- D&A College

Jade has an extensive background in applied theatre, spending two years as a volunteer creative learning assistant at Dundee Rep. While at the Rep she worked with many wonderful and inspiring facilitators who helped her build the skills required to work with people with a variety of abilities from various age groups and it was here that she witnessed the possitive changes that the arts can bring to peoples lives, whether it's growing in confidence or being provided a safe and supportive place to express yourself.

Jade soon moved on to running her own classes with The Space School of Performing Arts, planning, designing and delivering a series of drama workshops for young people aged from 5-14 years while mentoring a trainee drama facilitator. During this time she directed two devised sharings which were open to parents and family.

During her year out Jade ran a number of workshops in line with the NHS Graduates School Tour that performed in secondary schools across Tayside as well as leading a workshop in 'Promoting Self Confidence' for young muslim women in partnership with Al Maktoum College

Jade worked closely with McManus Galleries to write a deliver a two week summer school as part of their McMenace Project as well as a number of Navigate/Create sessions.

Most recently Jade has been working with The Beautiful People a community theatre company for people aged 55+to devise their show Sceenagers as part of Dundee Rep's Digital Buzz Festival.

Jade is excited to be working with the Dundee Rep Engage 11-13 Youth Theatre in the new term.

"Having Jade in a room brightens it up, she is calm, supportive and has an amazing talent to know when people are needing a little extra help`'
